Mr. Robert Hull came to Christian Care of Bristol after a long stay in a critical care unit at a local hospital. He was diagnosed with COPD and obstructive sleep apnea. Mr. Hull had been living alone when his undiagnosed OSA led to severe Co2 retention. When he finally made it to our facility, he was very confused about what had made him so sick. Our Respiratory therapists taught him how to manage his C02 using Bipap therapy. We have taught him about bronchial hygiene and PNA prevention. He independently manages his oxygen and uses it as needed. Mr. Hull is working with case management at this time to return to his apartment.
